20 years of honoring veterans in Danbury, CT

The Exchange Club of Danbury, CT, strongly believes in Americanism and in the importance of recognizing those in service to the country. For the past 20 years, the club has honored 120 veterans through the Veteran’s Night Program. The event, which initially honored mostly WWI veterans, is held on November 11 (Veteran’s Day). It recognizes service men and women who have

served honorably and continue service to the community.

The official Veteran’s Night Program highlights the commitment and dedication performed by these veterans, and also shows their service to the community. Friends and neighbors are able to witness the connection between military service and volunteer service at home. Each honoree is presented with a flag set, an Exchange Club certificate, a plaque, and other memorabilia corresponding with

his/her branch of the Armed Forces.

This long-standing patriotic program has become one of the club’s most anticipated events, and guests are often joined by city and state dignitaries. Club members look forward to honoring more veterans this coming November.
