The National Exchange Club
Exchange is made up of nearly 800 clubs with more than 25,000 members
across the United States and Puerto Rico who sponsor a variety of activities
to improve their communities. The first Exchange Club was formed in Detroit,
Michigan in 1911. The organization's goal is to become the premier service club in
America by igniting the spirit of community service throughout the nation.

Exchange Program of Service
Exchange Clubs sponsor a wide
variety of activities primarily focused around Child Abuse Prevention,
community service, youth and Americanism. Collectively, Exchange Clubs
donate millions of dollars and countless hours of volunteer service to
better their communities each year.

The National Exchange Club Foundation
Exchange adopted child abuse prevention as its national project in
1979, establishing the Toledo-based National Exchange Club Foundation.
Today, nearly 100 Exchange Club Child Abuse Prevention Centers have
been established
across the country. The centers utilize professionally trained parent
aides who work directly with families in need, teaching them positive
parenting techniques. More than 140,000 children and 100,000 families
have benefited from Exchange's efforts.
We hope these pages will give you
a thorough oversight of what Exchange does for both our communities and
our members. For those of you who are members of Exchange, we offer
this site as a resource for activities and news from across the
District.
